2. what she means: i can't believe a character like magnus bane is real and allowed to exist in mainstream media. he's a bisexual moc, which serves as amazing representation but his identity isn't just reduced to being the token character. he's a main character and he's allowed to take up space in the narrative and he's allowed to make mistakes without getting killed off like most characters of color and lgbt characters do. he's not flawless and he's realistic which makes him so beautiful. he's allowed to talk about his past relationships, explicitly mentioning both women and men, and there's little to no discrimination expressed towards his bisexuality. he's a complex character who has feelings and doesn't just serve as the helpful warlock who assists the protagonist when she needs help. not to mention he's an asian man, who are almost always desexualized in mainstream media, and instead of falling to that same stereotype he's portrayed as one of the most desirable characters on the show if not the most desirable character; one of his first appearances featured him surrounded by plenty of attractive people while he was the focus of the shot, looking powerful and attractive. furthermore, he's always shown with make up and decorated with jewelry and has an obsession with glitter yet no one makes a snide remark or comment about it and he's allowed to flaunt his perfect appearance. he's also one of the most powerful characters on the show and incredibly charismatic which is again, rare for an asian man in mainstream media to be. magnus bane is one of the most important characters on tv right now and i hope people appreciate him more and more characters like him start to appear.

Hahaha but what if what if WHAT IF since Alec will be the next Head of the NY Institute, he moves his husband and his kid there - fuck the Clave, actually. What if Magnus replaces Hodge as tutor for the young Shadowhunters who live there? What if Little One is like nine and adorable and BLUE and he just wants to train like all the other Shadowhunter children, like his dad and his aunties and his uncle? What if that kind of breaks both his dads hearts??? What if???
