That’s why when major badasses greet each other in movies, they don’t say anything, they just nod. The nod means, ‘I’ am a badass, and I recognize that you, too, are a badass,’ but they don’t say anything because they’re Wolverine and Magneto and it would mess up their vibe to explain.

“The guy you knew who was a hero, who did great things. I don’t remember doing those things. I don’t know if that makes me not a hero anymore. But I’d like to try to be that guy again.”

“I don’t remember everything,” he said. “Not yet. But I remember you.”

Book & Song associations:

Book: “The Mortal Instruments” series by Cassandra Clare

Song: “Saturn” by Sleeping at Last

Why: I came across this song while reading CoHF and I kept listening to it throughout the entire book. It really got to me while reading the epilogue (CoHF’s epilogue + “Saturn” = tears). It finally hit me that it’s the end of this series. While listening to this song I remembered (& still do every time) everything that happened since the first time Clary saw Jace at Pandemonium. Everytime I listen to this song it brings tears and memories. It means a real whole lot to me.
